ROAD RAGE INCIDENT LEADS TO ARREST

A recent road rage incident on Barrancas Avenue resulted in an arrest. A woman was charged with attempted homicide last week after shooting a person during a road rage incident on Barrancas Avenue. Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons tells Newsradio that he has noticed more cases where weapons have come into play in these types of incidents. Simmons says pulling a firearm during a road rage incident can be especially dangerous because then someone could have a reasonable fear for their life and you could end up being shot as they defend themselves. In this case, Melissa Johnson was arrested a charged with three counts of attempted homicide as well as weapon and drug charges.
