Florida ranks as the ninth most expensive state for renters, according to a new housing report. The National Low Income Housing Coalition says Floridians need to earn more 31 dollars an hour to afford a typical one-bedroom apartment. That's based on a statewide average rent of over 16-hundred dollars a month. States with higher housing wages than Florida include California, Hawaii, Massachusetts and New York.
