Pensacola FL (NewsRadio 92-3) Local officials have been watching Rafael -- which has now strengthened into a Hurricane in the Caribbean. Public Safety Director Eric Gilmore says he's been paying attention to both storm tracking models. He says the good news is that both models are now lining up and showing several factors weakening the storm once it enters the Gulf, and taking that western turn towards Texas and Mexico. Gilmore says we will probably see some rain and rough surf as the storm moves across the Gulf, but otherwise shouldn't have any severe weather.
