PRESCRIBED BURN FOR JONES SWAMP TODAY

If you noticed a huge plume of smoke to the west while driving across the Pensacola Bay Bridge, or around the west Pensacola area, don't worry. It is a prescribed burn that was planned in the Jones Swamp area today. The area for the proposed burn is located south of Highway 98, west of Fairfield Drive, north of Gulf Beach Highway, and east of Blue Angel Parkway, and is approximately 92 acres.
