(Miami, FL) -- A new poll conducted for the Miami Herald shows strong support among South Florida Cubans and Cuban Americans for U.S. military action in Cuba. The survey found nearly eight out of ten respondents favor an intervention aimed at regime change, humanitarian relief, or both, while strongly opposing negotiations that leave the communist government in power. The poll comes as reports say the Pentagon is quietly ramping up preparations for possible military operations in Cuba if President Trump orders intervention. The White House has increased pressure on Havana in recent months, including limiting oil shipments to the island nation, amid rising tensions across the region.
