Earlier this morning, there was a Hazmat incident on Gulf Breeze Parkway. According to Santa Rosa County, a 2,500 gallon tank with 50 % peroxide began leaking. It happened in the 2700-block of Gulf Breeze Parkway. The county says the leak coincided with a brush fire, which was put out by 10:15 am.Two nearby residences were evacuated and some nearby residences on Glen Oak Circle, Great Oaks Drive, Tiger Trace Boulevard, Safari Court, Whisper Cove Bouelvard, and Jaguar Circle were asked to shelter in place, an order that has since been lifted. A reverse 911 call was issued to the addresses affected. Units from Escambia County assisted.
