PENSACOLA STATE COLLEGE RECOGNIZED AS PURPLE HEART COLLEGE

The Military Order of the Purple Heart has recognized Pensacola State College as a Purple Heart College. The school held a ceremony this morning to recognize their students and staff who have received the award, and other veteran and military students and families. Pensacola State College President Dr. Ed Meadows says since the school is on the "Khaki Coast", it's best to pay attention to community members with a connection to the military. Among the honorees was Jill Hubbs, a Pensacola State College staff member whose father has been MIA since 1968 when his plane went missing in the Vietnam War.
