Three weeks after Pensacola city services were affected by a ransomware attack, city leaders say that online bill payments are now restored for Pensacola Energy and Sanitation Services. In the days that followed the attack, the city said that with the exception of the online bill payments, all other services were able to be restored. Customers will not be charged any late fees due to the online bill pay option not being in service. Additionally, Mayor D.C. Reeves says late fees will not be issued until May 1. Last week, the city said that the FBI is now involved, and that it was "possible" that personal data could be compromised.
