Pensacola Officially Acquires Baptist Hospital Legacy Campus

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The City of Pensacola has now officially acquired the old Baptist Hospital campus on E and Moreno Streets. It's been a years-long process that began in early 2024. The property was donated to the city by Baptist -- the plan is now to tear down the old hospital and use the land to benefit the community. Demolition will begin by the end of the year, and should be completed by summer of 2027. A series of public engagement meetings are planned to include residents in the process.
