Pensacola Man Sentenced To Life For Shooting Death

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A 21-year-old Pensacola man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for murdering a 70-year-old woman. Terrance Gross Junior was convicted of first-degree premeditated murder for a drive-by shooting that killed Myra Hayes. She was shot in the neck while sitting on her porch on Erress Boulevard in Montclair in June 20-24. After the shooting, Gross and two others jumped from the Highway 90 bridge during a police chase. One man died in the jump, another was captured immediately. Gross was found days later at the U-S-Mexico border in Texas.
