Pensacola. FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Jared Moore announced Tuesday that he will not run for re-election as Pensacola City Council President. Moore has represented District 4 since 2018 and was eligible for a third term but decided to step aside. Mayor D.C. Reeves praised Moore's service, calling him the gold standard of city council representation. Reeves says the focus now will be finding a strong replacement to serve District 4. The deadline for candidates to file to run for Moore's seat is June 2026. Moore's decision comes after more than seven years of serving the district.
