PENSACOLA AIRPORT HAD MINIMAL DELAYS DUE TO AMERICAN GROUND STOP

The American Airlines nationwide stoppage of flights had a minimal impact in operations at the Pensacola airport -- that from Airport Director Matt Caughlin this morning. He says three flights were delayed by around an hour due to the issues experienced by the airline...and for American passengers he says they could feel effects throughout their travels. The Federal Aviation Administration said American Airlines reported a technical issue at around 6:30 a.m. and the ground stop was lifted shortly before eight a.m. The airport says safety is their top priority.
