One Dead in Pace Residential Fire

Pace, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- One person was found dead after a residential fire in Pace early Monday morning. The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office responded to a structure fire on Caden Court around two-fifteen a.m. When deputies arrived, the residence was fully engulfed and inaccessible. Nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution. Pace Fire Rescue extinguished the fire and conducted a search. One occupant was located inside and pronounced deceased on scene. The Major Crimes Unit and Fire Marshal are investigating. The identity of the deceased has not been released.
