New Information on Suspicious Motel Death in Foley

FOLEY POLICE INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS DEATH -- David Wayne

We're learning more about the investigation into a 'suspicious death' in Foley last night. Investigators in Baldwin County say they are trying to locate the daughter of a 69-year-old woman who was stabbed to death at the Town and Country Motel on McKenzie Street.

Baldwin County deputies say the victim, identified as Shirley Smith, lived at the motel with her 36-year-old daughter Katie Lee Smith. The daughter had reportedly been seen at the hotel yesterday but was not there when Foley Police arrived at the motel room.
