Florida is moving to drop four vaccine requirements for students in public and private schools. The state Department of Health wants to eliminate school-entry mandates for Hepatitis B, chickenpox, HIB, and pneumococcal disease — for children from pre-K through 12th grade. It's part of Surgeon General Doctor Joseph Ladapo's push, announced nearly a year ago, to end vaccine mandates statewide. Some doctors are raising concerns. The Department of Health has opened a 21-day public comment period before deciding whether to finalize the rule.
