NASA Astronauts Give First Interview Since Return From Space

NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore says he's not looking to blame anyone for the situation that left him, and fellow astronaut Suni Williams stuck in space for nine months. Wilmore says he'd rather concentrate on moving ahead.

"I don't wanna point fingers," said Williams during a Fox News interview. "I hope nobody wants to point fingers." He went on to say "We don't wanna look back and same 'shame shame shame, we want to look forward and say let's rectify what we've learned and make the future more productive and better."

Wilmore and fellow astronaut Suni Williams returned to Earth last month after what was supposed to be a short test flight to the International Space Station -- which was extended after safety concerns with the Boeing Starliner.

Wilmore told FOX that despite their longer-than-expected stay, they weren't 'forgotten' or 'stuck.' Suni Williams said her first thought when she found out they wouldn't be coming home when they expected was, "We just got to pivot." Wilmore said he focused on "national goals" rather than on his own feelings, saying "It's not about me."
