The city of Milton says it's reached a major milestone in the effort to build a new wastewater treatment facility. The city says the Florida DEP has issued a permit that enables the construction of two sprayfields on city-owned property on Jeff Ates Rd. Those sprayfields will process 1.28 million gallons of treated effluent per day. The city adds that they're currently awaiting review from the National Environmental Policy Act before determining the project's start date.
