Maria's Seafood Truck Crashes Off New Orleans Bridge into Lake Ponchatrain

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A box truck that belongs to a local seafood market reportedly crashed off a bridge and into the water in New Orleans this week. The truck belongs to Maria's Seafood, officials say it was picking up oysters on Tuesday when it crashed into a flatbed truck from behind and was launched over the guardrail and off the bridge into Lake Ponchartrain. St. Tammany Parish Fire says the truck driver escaped and was rescued by a fisherman in the area. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The box truck was pulled from the water later that night.
