MARCO RUBIO'S U.S. SENATE SEAT HAS BEEN FILLED

Governor DeSantis has selected Florida's state's attorney general to fill Marco Rubio's U.S. Senate seat. Ashley Moody will serve in the Senate until a special election is held next year. President-elect Trump announced Rubio to be his secretary of state. DeSantis said he wanted to select someone who has demonstrated getting results. Moody has served as Florida's attorney general since 2019.
