LOCAL SAILORS BEGIN RACE FROM PENSACOLA TO MEXICO

If you noticed a lot of sailboats out on Pensacola Bay this morning, it was a combination of sailors competing in the Regata Del Sol, which is a 555 mile race across the Gulf Of Mexico from Pensacola to Isla de Mujeres, Mexico, just off the Yucatan coast from Cancun, and the spectator fleet seeing them off. A large spectator fleet was out in Pensacola Bay to send the racers off as they crossed the start line at 11 am.
