JURY FINDS AMOS SNOWDEN GUILTY IN CLARDY SHOOTING

An Escambia County jury has found a second suspect guilty in the deadly 2021 shooting of local football star LaDarius Clardy. 22-year-old Amos Snowden was convicted of first-degree premeditated murder, and he will serve a mandatory sentence of life in prison. His brother Da'Quavion Snowden is also serving life in prison after he was convicted last July. Clardy was killed on July 1st, 2021 while driving near Hollywood Avenue and Fairfield Drive. At the time, Escambia Sheriff Chip Simmons said the car was shot at 50 times, and it was a case of mistaken identity, saying the shooters meant to target someone else.
