Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- A key ruling has been made in the manslaughter case against former Gulf Breeze plastic surgeon Ben Brown. A judge Tuesday allowed the chief medical examiner to testify freely at trial about the cause of death of Brown's wife Hillary, who died in November twenty-twenty-three following cosmetic surgeries performed by her husband. Brown's defense argued Dr. Deanna Oleske lacked the toxicology expertise to determine Hillary died from lidocaine toxicity — but Judge Clifton Drake disagreed after a five-hour hearing. Brown's trial, originally set for August seventeenth, has been postponed to a date not yet announced.
