JAY MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER AFTER DISCOVERY OF REMAINS

A Jay man is charged with murder after deputies recovered skeletal remains from a grave in Santa Rosa County on Saturday. 53-year-old Jeffrey Scott Bostwick was arrested Friday and is now charged with First Degree Murder Without Premeditation, AND Second Degree Felony Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon. According to the Sheriff's office, on Friday, investigators received information that a Milton resident "had been missing and was believed to have been killed." According to the sheriff's office, on Saturday, detectives received information that the missing person was buried at another location at the 2900 block of Cobbtown Road in Jay. The area was searched, and the remains were found. The victim's name has not yet been released. Bostwick is now in the Santa Rosa County Jail without bond.
