Jay High School Groundskeeper Arrested for Inappropriate Messages to Student

Jay, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A groundskeeper at Jay High School has been arrested on charges of soliciting a romantic relationship with a student. The Santa Rosa County School District terminated 52-year-old Kevin Ross Dunning's employment after receiving reports of inappropriate messages sent to a 15-year-old female student. Officials say the messages were shared via Facebook Messenger, and included personal and suggestive comments. Dunning admitted to communicating with the girl but denied any sexual intent. The school district has emphasized its commitment to student safety and is cooperating with law enforcement in the ongoing investigation. He was taken into custody on Monday and is currently held in Santa Rosa County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
