MILTON INMATE FACES NEW CHARGES AFTER FLEEING WORK-RELEASE -- David Wayne
A state Department of Corrections inmate from Milton faces new charges after allegedly ditching his GPS monitor and attempting to run. 26-year-old Christopher Kellye from Milton was taken back into custody earlier this week. Officials say he had been participating in a work-release program when he left his job early to go to a doctor's appointment -- but after waiting at a bus stop for a while, he walked away and took off his GPS monitor around Mobile Highway and Bellview Avenue. Kelley is now being held on $1-million dollar bond.
