Ice Flyers See Continued Growth in Attendance

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Pensacola Ice Flyer fans are setting attendance records for the third consecutive year. The team drew over 150,000 attendees across 28 home games, averaging more than 5,400 fans per game. The team says that's grown from an average of around 3,000 fans per game 14 years ago.

It's really humbling to see the support we have here in our community," said Team Owner Greg Harris during a conversation with WEAR News. He says the team's goal is sell-out crowds of 8-thousand at every game. The team says they've planned around $6-million worth of arena upgrades during the offseason.
