Hundreds Gather at Pensacola Veterans Memorial Park for Memorial Day

Escambia County, FL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- Hundreds gathered at Pensacola's Veterans Memorial Park Sunday for the city's annual Memorial Day ceremony. Medal of Honor recipient Retired Command Sergeant Major Robert Patterson — a veteran of both Vietnam and the Gulf War — delivered the keynote address, reflecting on the men who fell beside him in Vietnam and those who never made it home. McGuire's Pipe Band and the Pensacola Opera Chorus also performed, and local organizations laid wreaths in honor of the fallen.
