Honduran Man Facing Charges Following Soccer Match Stabbing Incident

Baldwin County, AL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Deputies in Baldwin County say a 20-year-old Honduran man has been arrested on charges related to a stabbing at a soccer game near Summerdale. Officials say a victim was taken to the hospital last week with three stab wounds. Investigators identified 20-year-old Jefferson Javier Lopez-Tonoco as a suspect after interviewwing hte victim and talkign with witnesses. Deputies arrested Lopez-Tonicoo yesterday, and when he was taken into custody officials say several small bags of cocaine were found. Officials say he's being held on attempted murder and drug possession charges, and an immigration detainer has been placed on him as well.
