Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- There's an update on the court proceedings against former Escambia County contractor Matt Banks -- he's got a new lawyer after attorney Michael Griffith petitioned to withdraw from the case last week, citing 'irreconcilable differences' with his client. Banks is facing nearly 100 years in prison on racketeering and aggravated white-collar crime charges. Prosecutors say he stole over $5,000,000 from clients in Northwest Florida by taking money for builds and remodels, but never completing the work. Banks and his new attorney are due back in court on February 26th.
