Fishing Pier Work To be Complete by End of April

Pensacola Beach, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Gets your rods and reels ready -- it looks like the Pensacola Beach fishing pier is going to reopen sooner rather than later. It's been closed since December for repairs. Escambia County says that work should be done by the end of the month. The repair work on the pier came in at around $4.2 million dollars and much of the damage stemmed from Hurricane Sally in 2019. Work included signage, lighting, water lines, deck panels, and railings. Many new items have been installed including benches trash cans, viewing scopes, and cameras.
