Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- A Pensacola family is searching for answers after a hit-and-run left a teenager seriously injured. 17-year-old Jamariyan Vander was riding his electric longboard on Burgess Road near West Florida High School the night of January 9th when an SUV hit him. The driver and passenger briefly got out of the vehicle but left without helping. Vander suffered facial scarring, a fractured leg and other injuries. His mother Myleka Johnson says they spoke with a state trooper the day of the crash but haven't heard any updates since. She's now knocking on doors and checking nearby surveillance cameras trying to find the driver. They're looking for an older, tall white male who was wearing a blue shirt and gray shorts. Vander says he just wants the driver to take accountability.
