ESCAMBIA COMMISSIONERS VOTE FOR NEW WATERWAY ORDINANCE

Escambia County commissioners voted in favor of placing a new ordinance on county waterways. During last night's commission meeting, commissioners voted to put an ordinance in place for floating structures, especially one, that some boaters call a floating tenement, which is a hazard in the bayou now. The ordinance would keep these structures from anchoring or mooring in the water. But it would not impact regulated houseboats or actual vessels.
