DeSantis Slams Grand Jury Report
Governor Ron DeSantis is pushing back hard against a grand jury report that says ten-million dollars from a Medicaid settlement was improperly steered through the Hope Florida Foundation for political purposes. Speaking Thursday in Lake City, DeSantis called the report's findings false, insisting the money was a legal, private contribution — not diverted Medicaid funds. He labeled the entire investigation a politically motivated "hoax" targeting his administration and First Lady Casey DeSantis. The governor stressed the grand jury found no probable cause for criminal charges. The report claims the money helped fund opposition to a marijuana legalization amendment.
