DeSantis Signs Two Bills to Strengthen Child Protection Laws

Tallahssee, FL -- Governor DeSantis has signed two new laws aimed at protecting children from predators. Missy's Law, named for a 5-year-old killed by a convicted child predator released on bond, requires those guilty of dangerous crimes to be held without bond while awaiting sentencing. A second law enhances penalties for child sexual abuse material.
