DeSantis Announces Milestone In Clinical Cancer Trial

(Tallahassee, FL) -- Florida's First Lady is celebrating what she calls a milestone in a new clinical trial. Casey DeSantis announced yesterday Cancer CARE Beyond Walls has successfully treated its first patient. The program offers at-home treatments, including chemotherapy, through digital technology and remote patient monitoring. It's designed to expand access to cancer care in the Panhandle and surrounding areas for those who may not be able to travel for treatment. DeSantis says Florida has defined itself as an international leader in cancer research, care and innovation, and this program is another example of that leadership.
