Escambia County deputies say a person was found dead with a chest wound this morning. The person was found on R Street near Godfrey just before 8 o'clock this morning. The call was originally dispatched as a cardiac arrest -- then deputies found the wound to the person's chest. Investigators are working to determine the person's cause of death.
