CREWS RESCUE RESIDENT IN TRAILER FIRE

Escambia fire crews say one person was rescued during a travel trailer fire early yesterday morning. It happened around 5:40 on East Hood Drive. When firefighters arrived, about half of the trailer was engulfed in flames and one person had to be rescued inside. That resident was transported to a local hospital with injuries. One dog at the scene was confirmed dead. The Bureau of Fire and Arson is investigating.
