Hats are being tossed into the ring for the District 1 seat. State representative Michele Salzman says she's running for Matt Gaetz' Congressional seat. Salzman officially announced her candidacy yesterday. Joel Rudman announced today that he also will be running for Congress also, following following Matt Gaetz's resignation last week. Rep. Rudman of Santa Rosa County was re-elected to the Florida House District 3 seat earlier this month. In addition to Rudman, Jonathan Green also announced his intentions to run for the Florida District 1 Congressional seat. Green is a Pensacola native who says he has no party affiliation.
