CHILDREN ARE SEXUALLY ABUSED AND IT IS NOT GETTING BETTER

012925 (WEAR) According to a new study from the Lancet Child and Adolescent Health Center, 1 in every 12 children are being sexually abused online and the problem is only getting worse. The research shows children under 18 years old are being exposed to sexual abuse, online solicitation, exploitation, and sharing of sexual photos and videos. UWF assistant professor at the Center for Cybersecurity Dr. Elizabeth Rasnick says parents should monitor, on a regular basis, what apps their child is using and who their child is interacting with online.
