Alabama Man Charged with DUI Manslaughter after Teen Dies from Injuries Sustained in I-10 Crash

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) --We've got an update on a now-fatal crash that happened on I-10 last week. FHP says the crash happened last Wednesday on I-10 near Mile Marker 9 in Escambia County -- The Florida Highway Patrol says 49-year-old Shawn Wilber was driving a Dodge Ram and hit a Toyota SUV. He was arrested for DUI the night of the crash had been released from jail on bond. Troopers say a 14-year-old boy from Cantonment that was a passenger in the SUV died from his injuries over the weekend. Wilber is now charged with vehicular homicide and DUI manslaughter. He's being held in the Escambia County jail with no bond pending a hearing.
