Accuweather Releases Hurricane Season Forecast

Accuweather is out with its early prediction for the Atlantic hurricane season. The private weather forecasting company is predicting 13 to 18 named storms, seven to ten hurricanes, and three to five major hurricanes of Category 3 strength or higher. Forecasters say areas that are at a higher-than-average risk of direct impacts include northern and eastern portions of the Gulf Coast - including Florida - and the Carolinas. Hurricane season begins on June 1st and runs through November.
