135-Year-Old Tortoise Becomes First-Time Father

(Miami, FL) -- Zoo Miami's oldest reptile celebrated another birthday on Sunday, Father's Day. Its Galapagos tortoise, named Goliath, is now believed to be 135 years old. He recently became a father for the first time when one of the eggs laid by his mate, Sweet Pea, hatched. An application has been made to the Guinness Book of World Records to recognize Goliath as the oldest first-time father in history.
