DeSantis On Fox News


(Tallahassee, FL) -- Governor Ron DeSantis is going public with his Halloween plans. He told Fox News last night his son will dress as Chief Osceola. DeSantis says the second-grader is a die-hard Florida State fan. As for himself, DeSantis says he won't be dressing up, but he typically takes photos with people while trick-or-treating.

(Washington, DC) -- Ashley Moody is backing an effort she says will send a clear message to China. Senator Moody announced yesterday she's co-sponsoring a bill to sanction Chinese officials who are responsible for abuses of religious freedom. She says China's brutal persecution of people of faith cannot be ignored. Moody adds the bill shows the US will continue to promote religious freedom around the globe and fight to hold China accountable for its human rights abuses.

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The University of West Florida has a new vice president of Finance and Administration. Daniel Lucas was appointed to the job as of November 1st, pending board approval. Lucas will also continue as chief financial officer of the UWF Foundation. He has previously been recognized for his leadership and financial expertise. Lucas joined UWF in 2014. Outgoing vice president Betsy Bowers praised Lucacs for his strong understanding of the university's priorities and operations.
