Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Gross and Schuster is opening its doors today for its annual holiday cookout, offering free food to community members, friends, and anyone who needs a warm meal during the season.

Managing partner Terrence Gross says the firm has been hosting the event for the past decade as a way to give back to the community. "We do it just to give something back to the community and we've also noticed by being on the fringe of downtown that of course, we see a lot of the less fortunate people walking by day by day, and that can enjoy a hot meal during the holidays," Gross said.

The menu includes hamburgers, grilled chicken, and hot dogs. All are welcome to stop by.

Escambia County, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Steven Nasse has won the 58th Annual Snowball Derby. The race was delayed a day due to weather but finally got underway Monday afternoon. Nasse crossed the finish line first after another driver was disqualified during the event. Nasse started in position number 32 of 36. The annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway is a huge racing tradition in the area -- and thousands of race fans attended the multi-day event.

Gulf Shores, AL (Newsradio 92.3) -- Gulf Shores will not host a music festival next year. The city is skipping 2026 after Morgan Wallen's "Sand in My Boots" sold out all forty-thousand tickets this past year. The mayor says organizers wanted to book different acts, but couldn't reach a deal. Rather than settle for previous performers, the city decided to cancel and regroup. Mayor Robert Craft says they're already approved for a festival in 2027, and they want to bring the same type of talent and audience that made this year's event so successful.
