WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER STEALING VEHICLE, KIDNAPPING CHILD, RUNNING FROM LAW

A Pensacola woman is facing charges for allegedly stealing a vehicle, kidnapping a child, and attempting to run from deputies. It all started on Mobile Highway, where deputies say 31-year-old Sheree Sturdivant allegedly stole a pickup truck at a service shop. The owner told deputies he had stepped out of the vehicle with it running. Officials say Sturdivant then went to the Boys and Girls Club on North H Street, where she took a child from the facility despite not being on the approved pick up list. Deputies caught up with Sturdivant in the stolen truck on North W Street, and say she attempted to get away when they tried to pull her over. Eventually deputies used a PIT manouver to stop the vehicle, then broke a window to access the truck and take her into custody. Sturdivant now faces several charges including vehicle theft, cruelty towards a child, fleeing/eluding, and driving on a suspended license.
