Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92.3) -- University of West Florida marketing students conducted a professional-level feasibility study for the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida, helping the organization plan a capital campaign to move out of a chronic flood zone. Students surveyed Escambia and Santa Rosa County residents, finding the community has the capacity to support the campaign, especially through emotional, animal-centered storytelling and targeting prior donors. Professor James Mead says the research would normally cost fifty-thousand dollars or more if done by a professional firm. The Wildlife Sanctuary has since launched its capital campaign and applied for additional grant funding to relocate to a new ten-acre campus.
