UWF Faculty, Students, Create HIPAA Health Check App

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The University of West Florida's Dr. Hossain Shahriar and several of his students have created a new platform that checks how secure mobile apps are, especially when it comes to protecting personal health info. Funded by a $545,000 NIH grant, this tool rates apps on a scale from low to critical risk, helping both companies and users spot potential vulnerabilities.
