Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The University of West Florida is expanding its nationally recognized Center for Cybersecurity to include artificial intelligence. The renamed Center for Cybersecurity and A-I reflects what university leaders call a natural and necessary overlap between the two fields. President Manny Diaz told trustees Wednesday he's working to add UWF to a statewide A-I task force - one he helped create during his tenure as Florida's Commissioner of Education. The expanded center will be among the first occupants of the Synapse research building, which breaks ground on the UWF campus today.
