UWF Awarded Contract To Evaluate Cancer Screening Program

Pensacola, FL (Newsradio 92.3) -- The University of West Florida has been awarded a four-year, 260-thousand dollar contract to evaluate Florida's Colorectal Cancer Control Program. The Florida Department of Health hired U-W-F to review screening data from partner health systems and identify where clinic processes can be improved. Dr. Angela Hahn from the Department of Health Sciences and Administration will lead the project. The goal is to strengthen cancer screening practices and help more Floridians complete screening and receive timely follow-up care.
