Two Escambia County Residents Sentenced to Federal Prison on Drug Charges

Two Escambia County residents are heading to federal prison following convictions on drug distribution charges, according to court records.
Adrian Dion Pettaway Jr., 25, received a 28-month sentence for distributing fentanyl, while Gindy Nicole Lacey, 49, was sentenced to 60 months in federal prison for her role in distributing methamphetamine, tramadol, and fentanyl.
The sentences are part of ongoing federal enforcement efforts targeting opioid and drug trafficking in the area. Fentanyl distribution remains a priority for law enforcement agencies across Northwest Florida as the powerful synthetic opioid continues to fuel overdose deaths nationally and locally.
